I had high hopes for my stay at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort given its reputation, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. While the location is beautiful and the golf course is impressive, the hotel's overall condition and the quality of the service just didn't meet expectations. The rooms seemed outdated, and we faced several issues during our visit, including delayed check-ins and limited dining options. It simply didn't feel worth the price we paid.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms appeared tired and in need of updating. I was disappointed that my room had a view of the loading dock instead of a poolside view as promised.
Service
5.0
The service was a bit hit or miss - while the front desk staff tried their best, it felt severely understaffed most of the time. My room wasn't cleaned daily, and that was frustrating.
Location
9.0
The resort is beautifully situated with rolling hills all around, making it feel peaceful and secluded even though it's near Birmingham.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a major letdown, especially when we waited over an hour for our meals. The food itself was lackluster-charging for broth as a chicken noodle soup is unacceptable.
Facilities
5.0
The pool was nice, but the hot tub was broken, which was disappointing. They really need to improve maintenance and cleanliness in all areas.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel during my stay. The golf course was outstanding and the staff at the pro shop were exceptional, making for a fantastic golfing experience. However, the hotel itself felt a bit run down and lacked cleanliness, which contributed to some disappointment. Additionally, the dining service was severely understaffed, leading to long wait times for service and subpar food quality.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms left much to be desired; mine overlooked a loading dock and had a shortage of electrical outlets, which was quite inconvenient.
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly and eager to help, the service was overwhelmed due to being understaffed, especially during busy times.
Location
8.0
The location is great for golfers, right next to an incredible golf course, but the hotel needs better maintenance.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing, as the wait was excessive and the food did not meet expectations.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt outdated, with a broken hot tub and unkempt pool area, which detracted from the overall experience.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The amenities and services were commendable, especially the willingness to help with mobility issues, and they went above and beyond by shipping a charity item home for free. However, the daily check-in and check-out due to a flawed billing system really dampened my stay.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were not mentioned specifically in my experience, but the overall cleanliness seemed to be a concern for others.
Service
8.0
The hotel staff were quite accommodating, especially in lending me a wheelchair to assist with mobility. However, the billing system and the daily re-check-in process were quite frustrating.
Location
9.0
The hotel is located in a spot that made it convenient for attending the conference.
Dining
6.0
I didn't focus much on dining during my stay, but I heard mixed things about the restaurant's service and food quality.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered some great amenities, particularly in terms of assistance for medical issues and shipping services.

Unfortunately, my recent stay at the hotel was disappointing, especially given my previous positive experiences. While the room was overall clean and spacious, I encountered several maintenance issues that significantly impacted my comfort. The location was nice, but the service left much to be desired as I felt ignored on several occasions during my stay. It seems the staff got overwhelmed, especially with the ongoing events at the hotel.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and spacious but had maintenance problems like a malfunctioning shower and noise from neighboring rooms.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking, as my requests often went unanswered and there was a noticeable lack of communication from management.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in a pleasant area, but the heavy foot traffic during events made it feel congested at times.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was decent, though I didn't get to fully enjoy it due to the service issues I encountered.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were generally nice, but I struggled with basic amenities such as the spa and coffee services being unavailable.

The hotel has a beautiful golf course that enhances its appeal, but there were quite a few downsides during my stay. The room was unfortunately subpar, and I faced issues with both service and amenities. However, the dining at Brock's was a highlight, and the pool area was enjoyable despite some discomfort. Overall, it felt more like a place that needs some serious TLC.

Rooms
5.0
I was given a room that overlooked the employee smoking area, which was not what I had booked. It was quite noisy, and the room itself seemed outdated and in need of maintenance.
Service
5.0
While the staff was well-intentioned, many seemed undertrained, leading to frustrating delays such as a long wait for a single wine glass. Service was inconsistent throughout my stay.
Location
9.0
The location near the golf course is unmatched, making it a great spot for golf enthusiasts.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were somewhat limited, but Brock's had a nice breakfast buffet, though it felt a bit pricey at $19. The food was good and plentiful.
Facilities
6.0
The pool area was relaxing, but the lounge chairs were uncomfortable. The overall facilities felt tired and in need of updates.
